Get a Smile You're Thankful for with All-on-4® Dental Implants
If you’re missing teeth and researching your various tooth replacement options, don’t forget to consider All-on-4 ® dental implants. Read on as we explain what All-on-4 implants are and how they can give a smile to be thankful for this year.

The holidays are a time for laughter, parties, and sharing holiday meals, but if you’re missing teeth or struggling with ill-fitting dentures, the season just doesn’t seem as magical. Smiling can make you feel self-conscious and enjoying your favorite foods might even be out of the question.

At The Dental Center of Hercules, Dr. Lovely Manlapaz Teodoro wants you to feel confident and comfortable in your smile all year long. That’s where All-on-4® dental implants come in.

All-on-4 implants replace an entire arch of teeth using just four strategically placed dental implants. These implants act as stable anchors for a full set of replacement teeth.  Unlike traditional dentures, All-on-4 implants don’t slip or require adhesives, so you can eat your favorite holiday foods, speak, and smile with confidence.

This Thanksgiving, get a smile you’re thankful for with All-on-4 dental implants. Read on to learn more about them.

How does the All-on-4 process work?

Just like dentures and traditional implants, the All-on-4 procedure begins with a comprehensive consultation here in Hercules, California.

Consultation

During your exam, we review your goals and use 3D imaging to assess your jawbone and plan the implant placement. After the planning, we schedule you for your implant surgery and/or your bone graft surgery.

Bone graft surgery (in some cases)

Some people need bone grafts to support the implant, while other people can get started right away with their implants. Don’t worry if you need a bone graft. It doesn’t mean that you can’t move forward with your All-on-4 implants. In fact, 2.2 million bone grafts are done each year around the world!

Placing the implant

During the procedure, Dr. Teodoro places four titanium implants — two near the front of your jaw and two angled near the back — to provide maximum stability. She attaches a custom, temporary set of teeth the same day, so you leave with a complete smile.

Receive your permanent denture arches

After a healing period (about 3-4 months), your permanent, natural-looking restoration is securely fitted for long-lasting comfort and confidence.

4 reasons to be thankful for your All-on-4 smile

Choosing All-on-4 implants offers many advantages, including:

Eat what you love

Dentures offer full coverage, but they’re notorious for slipping. You can use denture adhesive to secure them, but that just adds another step to your daily oral routine.

All-on-4 implants let you enjoy your favorite foods without worry about slipping dentures.

Boost your confidence

Smiling can actually help you feel happier, but when you’re self-conscious about it, you’re less likely to smile.

So, if you’re embarrassed by missing teeth or ill-fitting dentures, your new All-on-4 implants could be your way back to a smile you love.

Protect your bone health

When you lose teeth, they no longer stimulate your jawbone. As a result, your jawbone shrinks and can even contribute to a sunken facial appearance.

The good part here is that implants help maintain your jawbone integrity. Because the implant posts stimulate your jawbone, they prevent the sunken appearance that often comes with missing teeth.

Convenience

All-on-4 is easier to care for than traditional dentures. There’s no adhesives or nightly soaking required. Because your All-on-4 implants are permanently secured, you might even hear them referred to as fixed dentures.

Are All-on-4 implants right for you?

All-on-4 is often ideal for people who have significant tooth loss, advanced gum disease, or ill-fitting dentures. But you don’t have to weigh your options on your own.

During a consultation at The Dental Center of Hercules, our experienced dental team evaluates your oral health, jawbone structure, and medical history to determine if All-on-4 implants are the best option for you.
