Whiten and Brighten Your Teeth in Just One Visit

Do you wish your teeth were brighter, but you just don’t know where to start? There’s no shortage of whitening products on the market, but not all of them deliver the results you want. Dr. Lovely Manlapaz Teodoro offers several different teeth whitening options in our Hercules, California, office — and you only need one visit to see a difference!

Below, Dr. Teodoro discusses what options are available and how they can help you achieve the smile of your dreams.

A brighter, whiter smile in one visit

No one wants to wait weeks and weeks to see a small improvement in the shade of their teeth, but unfortunately, some over-the-counter whitening methods can take weeks to see any difference. That’s because professional whitening treatments have what over-the-counter options simply don’t have: stronger whitening solutions and the curing lights to take your results to the next level.

We offer two in-office whitening options at The Dental Center of Hercules, and they both utilize the powerful combination of whitening agents and light.

Laser whitening treatments

Laser whitening treatments not only brighten your teeth, but they do so by up to 10 shades in just one hour!  Here’s what you can expect during a laser whitening treatment:

  1. Dr. Teodoro applies a protective coating on your gums. Your lips are protected as well.
  2. Cheek retractors keep your mouth open so you don’t have to worry about keeping your mouth open.
  3. The whitening gel is applied to your teeth.
  4. The laser light shines on your teeth, activating the whitening gel.
  5. Once activated, the whitening gel breaks down stains.

Laser teeth whitening is approved by the FDA and has been clinically demonstrated as fast and effective methods for whitening your teeth. Sensitivity is a common side effect, but it’s temporary.

LED-based whitening treatments

Sinsational Smile® is our second teeth whitening option. Sinsational is a certified eco-friendly LED-based system that delivers whitening treatments with:

Unlike laser treatments, Dr. Teodoro doesn’t apply the whitening gel to your teeth. Instead, all you need is a prefilled silicone tray. Once the tray is in place, an LED light then activates the whitening gel. Sinsational Smile treatments brighten your smile by 2-5 shades.

Which option is right for you?

In-office whitening treatments aren’t right for everyone. For example, crowns or veneers won’t respond to whitening treatments like natural teeth do. When you come to The Dental Center of Hercules, Dr. Teodoro explores all of your options during your one-on-one consultation. Whether you’d respond best with laser treatments, LED-based treatments, or a different cosmetic service altogether (such as veneers or take-home whitening solutions), we’ll get you on the path towards a beautiful smile.

Keeping your pearly whites dazzling

Once you’ve received your whitening treatments, your number one goal is likely to keep those pearly whites dazzling. To help you maintain your results, Dr. Teodoro sends you home with a maintenance whitening pen. You can further maintain your results by practicing good oral hygiene, limiting stain-causing foods, and rinsing your mouth after you do consume common stain-causing foods and drinks.
